Take the Plunge

Something you’ll learn if you get to know me is that I’m deliciously pragmatic.

I guess it’s great if I’m no longer afraid to say what I want to do (or at least discover whatever that might be).

Yet, I think that’s only half of the equation.

This type of statement should be followed with a “So what?”

I agree. Great question. Even if it was sassy.

So, I’m jumping in.

I’m giving this a go.

I’m acting.

I’m selling my services.

I’m telling people that I’ve started my own business.

I’m approaching people and telling them they have incredible ideas and I want to be a part of their life.

Hitting the publish button on an article that announces I’m no longer afraid to say what I want to do has been incredibly freeing.

There’s something funny about ideas that sit in my head. Up there, they are always perfect.

Once published, my ideas will always be imperfect.

Yet, I’m excited about all of that.

I’m ready to take a risk and fall on my face.

I’m ready to try something different and see what happens.

From one pragmatist to another, a giant congratulations to you! I can’t wait to hear about all of the exciting places your passions are going to take you. Know that you have at least one true fan in me (but I would bet money that you have many, many, MANY more who also want nothing more than for all your dreams to come true and are eager to consume whatever you’re willing to share and create). We’re all ready and waiting for John Shultz to finally take his first big bite out of this crazy world. Don’t think there won’t be a standing ovation when it happens.

All great things start from this very place! Run hard and don’t let go…even when you land on your face.
